Run For Something Endorsement

SACRAMENTO: Today, Sabrina Oliver was endorsed by Run for Something (RFS), a national organization that recruits and supports the next generation of progressive leaders for state and local office. The organization’s slate of newly endorsed candidates includes young, diverse progressives from across the country who are ready to lead in their communities.

“I’m excited for this endorsement. I’m ready to represent my community on the school board and to be a listening ear for other parents in the district,” said Sabrina Oliver.

Sabrina Oliver is a parent running for Robla School District Board of Education Trustee. In her day job at UC Berkeley, she interprets and implements complex personnel policies, oversees salary administration to multiple departments, and is a subject-matter expert in conflict of committment reporting. Prior to joining UC Berkeley in 2024, Sabrina spent seven years at UC Davis and private entities building her skills in policy interpretation, communicating with the public, and  

Sabrina is committed to advocating for the needs of all students, parents, and teachers. As an active member of the Glenwood Parent Teacher Club and the Robla Education Foundation, Sabrina has served the Robla community for years. She was named a Parent of the Year in 2024-2025 for Glenwood Elementary School. She attends School Site Council and Board meetings in her current role as parent and community member. Her platform focuses on improving parent communication and involvement, maintaining the culture and community of Robla, and creating safe and inclusive learning environments. If elected, she will emphasize the importance of transparency and accuracy from the board, is committed to responsible financial stewardship, and strive for increased parent involvement and input. 

About Run for Something:

Run for Something was founded in January 2017 with a simple premise: to help young, diverse, values-aligned candidates run for state and local offices in order to build a bench for the future. RFS aims to lower the barriers to entry for these candidates by helping them with organization building, connecting them with a robust community, and providing access to the training they need to be successful. 

Since its founding, RFS has helped elect over 1,600 candidates across the country — including 43 candidates in red-to-blue seats in the 2025 election cycle. Today, RFS has the largest database of any Democratic organization, with over 90,000 people reaching out since November 2024 with interest in running for office. In total, nearly 275,000 young people from across the country have signed up to learn more about running and gained access to RFS’s resources since the organization launched.
